JOSS FAVELA

"My new album is my way of saying, 'Dad, we made it,'" says Joss Favela

Los Angeles, Aug 13 (EFE) (Camera: Guillermo Azábal).- The two-time Grammy nominee is capable of resolving contractual issues with Sony Music, appearing on La Voz México alongside pop stars such as the Spaniard David Bisbal and ending up camouflaged with nature and animals on his ranch near Culiacán (northwest Mexico).

All in a few hours, all the same person.

It was on that farm where he was inspired to create "Clarifying the mind", where he noticed that unfulfilled dream of his father and where he decided that he wanted to pay tribute to him.

"When I was 7 or 8 years old, my father asked me the crucial question of what I wanted to be when I grew up. I answered that I was an artist. (...) and from then on, he never took his finger off the line so that I could achieve it," he says grateful.

Statements: In this album as such is not a theme, if not the whole album for my dad, that is old man here we are and it is thanks to you, your advice and that you never took your finger off the line that this dream was achieved and somehow it continues to be achieved.

I have a phrase that I always say and it is that: first you have to live and then you have to write, personally I can not write about something that I imagine, that they tell me, it does not come out because I run out of ideas. When I am writing something that is true, they are not ideas, it is a reality, I only find the words to say it but I am feeling it.
