Activists gather for Earth Day rally in Washington DC

Washington DC, Apr 22 (EFE/EPA).- Activists from numerous climate justice organizations marched Saturday to 'demand the end of the fossil fuel era', following an Earth Day rally in Washington.

First held in 1970 to call attention to the planet's environmental issues, Earth Day is now celebrated in nearly 200 countries. (Camera: JIM LO SCALZO)
