Abdo Benítez condemns the "cowardly murder" of Paraguayan prosecutor in Colombia

Asunción, May 10 (EFE) .- The president of Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benítez, condemned on Tuesday "the cowardly murder" of Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, specialized against organized crime, on an island near the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias where he was on his honeymoon.

"To continue in the fight against organized crime, this is very painful, very hard, I have spoken with President Iván Duque on the phone, and he promised me to give us all the support to solve the case, to look for those responsible. I have also talked with the American government about it, who through Colombia are going to support and right now I am going to visit the attorney general." Abdo Benítez said Efe.
