78th edition of Avignon Theatre Festival kicks off in France | Video

Avignon, France, Jun 27 (EFE/EPA).- Avignon, France, 27 June 2024 - The 78th edition of the Avignon Theatre Festival is scheduled to begin on 29 June and run until 21 July 2024.

At a press rehearsal at the Carrière de Boulbon near Avignon, actors performed the play "Hecube, pas Hecube" by Portuguese playwright and festival director Tiago Rodrigues.

The Avignon International Theatre Festival, a major cultural event in the south of France, will feature a varied line-up of performances.
