Nearly 16,000 hectares have burned in Ecuador in the last two weeks

Quito, Sep 6 (EFE).- Nearly 16,000 hectares have burned in the last two weeks in Ecuador as a result of a series of fires fueled by drought, particularly in the Andes mountains, which has caused air quality to be seriously affected at times in some of the main cities.
