Birkenhead (UK), 10 May (EFE/EPA). – British authorities are keeping asymptomatic passengers of the MV Hondius cruise ship, who do not show symptoms of hantavirus, isolated in rooms at Arrowe Park Hospital in Birkenhead. This follows a notification from the World Health Organization about several cases and three deaths linked to the outbreak detected on the ship, which docked last weekend in the Canary Islands.

Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife), May 10 (EFE).– The military plane carrying the 14 Spanish passengers from the Hondius cruise ship, affected by a hantavirus outbreak, has taken off from Tenerife South Airport bound for Madrid, where they will undergo quarantine at the Gómez Ulla Hospital.

The passengers arrived at the airport in two buses from the Military Emergency Unit, bypassing the document control process to minimize contact with the public.
