Sydney, Jun 25 (EFE).- UNESCO's World Heritage Committee asked Australia on Tuesday to enhance efforts against the climate crisis and deforestation to protect the Great Barrier Reef, while Canberra saw this as recognition of its "ongoing work."

In a draft report published earlier, the committee noted with great concern the ongoing threat of the climate crisis and mass coral bleaching, including the 2023-24 austral summer, to the Great Barrier Reef. (Camera: HANDOUT).
