Royal cremation held for victims of bus fire in Thailand

Uthai Thani, Thailand, Oct 8 (EFE/EPA).- Family members and relatives gathered at the Khao Phraya Sangkharam Temple School on Tuesday to pay their last respects during a royal-sponsored mass cremation of the victims of a tragic school bus fire.

The accident, which occurred on 1 October 2024 on Bangkok's Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, claimed the lives of at least 20 pupils and three teachers and injured many others.

At the solemn ceremony, held in Uthai Thani province, loved ones honoured the deceased in front of their coffins at the crematorium. (Camera: NARONG SANGNAK).
