Taipei, Sep 18 (EFE/EPA).- Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo on Wednesday denied manufacturing the pagers used in the explosion that killed at least nine people and injured thousands in Lebanon.

In a statement, the New Taipei-based company explained that it has ‘long-term private label authorisation and regional cooperation’ with BAC.

Gold Apollo confirmed that the AR-924 pager model involved in the explosions was ‘produced and sold’ by BAC.

The Taiwanese company reiterated that it only provides branding authorisation and is not involved in the design or manufacture of the product. (Camera: RITCHIE B. TONGO).
