Mediterranean Sea, Mar 30 (EFE).- At least 22 of the 58 Global Sumud Flotilla boats sailing toward the Gaza Strip have been intercepted, the flotilla's online tracker said, hours after the group reported being surrounded by Israeli vessels in international waters.

The operation unfolded in stages throughout the early morning and took place more than 1,000 kilometers from Israeli territory. Some interceptions occurred near Greek territory, and many ships recalculated their routes accordingly.

Neither the Israeli government nor its defense forces (IDF) have officially claimed responsibility for the intervention, however, Israel's envoy to the UN, Danny Danon, stated on X that "another provocative flotilla was stopped before reaching our area.”
