SPAIN MONEY LAUNDERING

The police operation, dubbed 'Emperador', unveiled alleged Chinese organized crime rings in charge of money laundering, not only in Madrid and Barcelona but throughout the Spanish territory. The police detained at least 87 allegedly people involved in the network, most of them of Chinese origin, raided 124 properties, and seized 122 personal bank accounts. 11.6 million euros in art and jewelry was also confiscated during the operation.
