Reaction to Spain's Prime Minister letter
Spain's third deputy Prime Minister Teresa Ribera speaks to the press on 25 April 2024 in Berlin, Germany, the day after Sanchez announced he would be taking some days off to think about resignation. Sanchez published on 24 April on 'X' social media a letter to citizens in which he explains he would be taking off some days to think about resignation after it was announced his wife, Begona Gomez, was to be investigated after Right Wing Union 'Manos Limpias' filed a complaint against her. The Prime Minister blames a political 'harassment and bullying operation by land, air and sea' to cause his 'personal and political collapse' by attacking his wife.
