New York goes out to "census" homeless who sleep on streets

New York, Jan 25 (EFE) (Camera: Ángel Colmenares).- Hundreds of volunteers went out last morning to "take a census", regardless of the New York winter cold, of those who sleep every night in the streets or public places of New York, a city where the number of homeless has reached historic levels.

TRANSLATION:

"My experience has always been very positive, I have had the experience that they demand, that they want to go to the "census" and that they want help and maybe they don't know how to get it and that's why I keep coming back, because I feel that it is something necessary that we as city workers or as citizens of the city need to help those people who need help that maybe they don't know how to get".
