Srinagar, Jul 22 (EFE/EPA).- The world’s only floating post office is in a two-room houseboat on Dal Lake, established in 1953 for lake residents and tourists. Before the internet and mobile phones, it was a crucial lifeline for sending letters and postcards. Officially opened in 1970, it was renovated in 2011 and now has three full-time employees, serving as one of the 1700 permanent post offices in Jammu and Kashmir.
