Thousands gather in Jakarta to support Palestinians amid escalating violence

Jakarta, Oct 15 (EFE/EPA).- On Sunday, thousands of people rallied in Jakarta, waving Palestinian and Indonesian flags, to express their support for the Palestinian cause in the wake of recent Israeli air strikes in Gaza.

The demonstration was in response to the escalating violence in the region, which began after an unprecedented Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

At the massive rally, demonstrators condemned Israel's actions, and many shouted slogans in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The conflict has already claimed thousands of lives on both sides, further inflaming tensions in the Middle East and raising international concern. (Camera: MAST IRHAM).
