SAUDI ARABIA PILGRIMAGE

Tawaf ritual in Mecca that begins the pilgrimage of Hajj 2022

Mecca (Saudi Arabia), Jul 6 (EFE), (Camera: Ashraf Amra) Muslims perform the Tawaf, the ritual of circumambulation and prayer in the Great Mosque of Mecca, seen from the top of the clock tower of the city, prior to the start of the 2022 pilgrimage.

This year, Saudi Arabia will allow access to one million Muslims, of whom approximately 850,000 come from abroad, to make the annual Hajj pilgrimage for the first time in two years since the 2020 ban on the entry of foreign visitors in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
