Taiwan successfully test-fires new anti-aircraft missile amid Chinese threat

Pingtung, Apr 16 (EFE/EPA).- The Taiwanese Army has successfully tested its domestically manufactured surface-to-air missile, the Land Sword II, amid escalating threats from China, the country’s defense military announced on Tuesday.

The newly developed anti-aircraft missiles “successfully hit” their intended target drones during a live-fire exercise held in the southern county of Pingtung on Monday, the defense ministry said in a statement. (Camera: HANDOUT).
