Spain marks 100th anniversary of cave paintings protection

Ciudad Real, Spain, Apr 25 (EFE) - On 25 April 1924, one hundred years ago now, the Spanish cultural authorities declared twenty-nine caves and shelters scattered throughout the Peninsula "with prehistoric paintings and engravings" as part of an heritage list that has grown exponentially in the 21st century.
