Security forces in Rio de Janeiro conduct tactical drills ahead of the G20 summit

Rio de Janeiro, Nov 7 (EFE), (Camera: Bruno Kaiuca).- The security forces of Rio de Janeiro conducted tactical exercises this Thursday in preparation for the G20 summit on November 18 and 19.

STATEMENTS BY CLAUDIA MORAES, LIEUTENANT COLONEL OF THE MILITARY POLICE OF RIO:

"In fact, it is a demonstration and an exercise of the special operations command forces of the military police, to showcase our technical and operational capabilities and all the equipment we have to ensure security during the G20 summit."

"Then here we will have a demonstration of our main units that work with special operations, such as the BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion), our action battalion, with dogs, our motorcycle battalion that also acts as an escort in other activities, the riot police battalion, and our Aeromobile group, also in the air support role, using both planes and drones."
