Pyrénées-Orientales, first French department with maximum level of drought

Vinça (France), May 11 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Guillaume Horcajuelo) Europe has experienced one of the driest and warmest winters in recent decades, after 2022 already saw records for lack of rainfall and excessive heat, a combination that puts half the continent at risk and exacerbates a drought that could extend from the countryside to human supplies.
