Karachi (Pakistan), Aug 16 (EFEE).- Members of the Christian minority in Karachi protested on Wednesday against the burning of several churches in Faisalabad, in north-east Pakistan.The burning of the churches took place after local people accused a young man belonging to the Christian minority of committing blasphemy, a serious charge in the Asian country.A mob set fire to places of worship, a police spokesman for the Jaranwala area, Mohammed Naveed, told EFE "in response" to allegations of blasphemy that were amplified from some neighborhood mosques.Camera: Rehan Khan.
