President Maduro faces alleged restrictions on social media in Venezuela | Video

Caracas, May 28 (EFE).- Chavismo claimed on Tuesday that President Nicolás Maduro was being censored on social media following an underreported pro-government event.

However, the NGO Redes Ayuda countered that it was not censorship, but a general public disinterest in Maduro's activities.

Despite these accusations, the event attracted some 21,000 viewers on YouTube, which shows some engagement with the content.

Meanwhile, a Redes Ayuda spokesperson mentioned that while there is no active censorship of Maduro's accounts, economic sanctions and digital breaches affect the visibility and reach of his posts on platforms such as Meta, which bans political advertising globally. (Camera: IVÁN CARDENAS).
