Vila Velha de Ródão, May 3 (EFE).- The Portuguese group Altri, with the Greenfiber project, on Friday aimed to make Galicia a world leader in lyocell production, a natural fabric from eucalyptus. However, some environmental groups and others disagreed due to possible environmental effects.Altri plans to invest 850 million euros in its upcoming plant in Palas de Rei (Lugo, Spain). They are currently dealing with bureaucratic processes to start building the factory on 112 hectares of land in that area of Galicia.
