Polling stations for presidential election close in Mexico

Mexico City, Jun 2 (EFE).- Polling stations for the presidential election closed on Sunday at 6:00 PM local time in most of Mexico.

In a few hours, the successor to current president Andrés Manuel López Obrador is expected to be announced.

Polling stations remained open in states with the Pacific time zone: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Nayarit, Sinaloa, and Sonora, which would close at 6:00 PM local time. (Camera: MIGUEL ÁNGEL ANDRADE).
