Moroccan woman sets up shelter to protect stray cats in Tamesna

Tamesna, Jul 3 (EFE/EPA).- In an effort to protect stray cats from the dangers they face on the streets of Tamesna, Morocco, Khadija Izem has set up a dedicated shelter.

The initiative was taken after Izem noticed a worrying trend of residents attempting to poison the animals.

Izem's cat shelter is designed to maintain the dignity of these animals, protecting them from threats and meeting international standards for such facilities.

This project is a clear example of the growing concern for animal welfare in the region (Camera: JALAL MORCHIDI).
