Listening to communities: A must for development investments

Manaus, Brazil, Jun 13 (EFE).- Engaging communities and tailoring sustainability investments to the specific characteristics of a territory is essential when allocating funds, a principle championed by participants in IDB Invest's Sustainability Week in Manaus, Brazil.

Sometimes, the funded projects do not meet the community's needs, Rafaella Dortas, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at the Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual, said during one of the panels held on Wednesday.
