Lack of consent key to trial for Gisèle Pelicot's lawyers

Avignon (France), Nov 20 (EFE) - The plea of the lawyers of Gisèle Pelicot, victim of rape for 10 years, placed the lack of consent as the key to hold accountable the 50 defendants who sexually abused her.

In an emotional speech, especially by Stéphane Babonneau, one of the victim's two lawyers, the moral and physical damage to the life of this 71-year-old woman, who after thinking of committing suicide decided to fight “for shame to change sides”, was recounted.
