Barcelona, ??Nov 19 (EFE) .- The mayor of Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan’s capital, on Tuesday attended the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Altay Kulginov, accompanied by the country's ambassador to Spain, Konstantin Zhigalovattended the inauguration of the "Cities Made of Dreams" congress, in which the Catalan Minister for Digital Policies, Jordi Puigneró, the first deputy mayor of Barcelona, ??Jaume Collboni; Spanish Secretary of State for Digital Advance, Francisco Polo, and Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, addressed the technological challenges facing metropolises of the future.Kulginov and Zhigalov later attended a round table event organized by the embassy with Spanish businesses in the framework of the fair.The Kazakh capital was renamed Nur-Sultan last March, when Parliament approved to change its name from Astana in honor of former president Nursultan Nazarbayev, who was in power between 1991 and 2019.SHOT LIST: FOOTAGE OF SMART CITY EXPO WORLD CONGRESS AND NUR-SULTAN MAYOR ALTAY KULGINOV AND KAZAKH AMBASSADOR KONSTANTIN ZHIGALOV AT THE ROUND TABLE EVENT IN BARCELONA.
