Indonesian Muslim activists in Jakarta demand end to Israel-Palestine conflict

Jakarta, Oct 11 (EPA/EFE).- Indonesian Muslim activists rallied in large numbers outside the US embassy in Jakarta on Wednesday, waving Palestinian flags and raising their fists in a show of solidarity with Palestinians amid the escalating Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This rally comes after the militant group Hamas launched a major attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip on 7 October 2023, prompting retaliatory strikes by Israel against the Palestinian enclave.

The ongoing conflict has already claimed hundreds of lives on both sides (Camera: BAGUS INDAHONO).
