Indian Hindu devotees perform ritual during Chhath festival

Kolkata, Nov 7 (EFE/EPA).- Indian Hindu devotees on Thursday performed rituals during Chhath festival with holy river Ganges in Kolkata.

The Chhath festival is observed by the Indian and Nepalese people for a prosperous life and goodwill among the people.

It is dedicated to Lord Surya (Sun) and Agni (fire). People fast for the whole day and in the evening they offer Chhat, worship, to the setting sun. (Camera: PIYAL ADHIKARY).
