India Meteorological Department issues alert as Cyclone Mocha gains strength

Kolkata, May 11 (EFE/EPA).- According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Cyclone Mocha, currently forming over the Bay of Bengal, is expected to strengthen significantly and become a powerful storm by May 12.

With the authorities closely monitoring the cyclone's progress, residents were advised on Thursday to take necessary precautions and make preparations for potentially severe weather conditions. (Camera: PIYAL ADHIKARY).
