Germany holds minute's silence for policeman killed in Mannheim knife attack

Mannheim (Germany), Jun 7 (EFE/EPA) - Germany on Friday observed a nationwide minute's silence in honour of the policeman who died of his injuries following a knife attack in Mannheim (southern Germany) on Friday May 31.

The officer helped neutralise an individual who attacked right-wing politician and self-described anti-Islam activist Michael Stürzenberger, 59, who was handing out leaflets at a stand with the Israeli flag and the slogan ‘Stop Political Islam’.
