German police unions march in streets of Berlin after attack on their Mannheim colleague

Berlin (Germany), Jun 7 (EFE/EPA) - Hundreds of German police officers took to the streets of Berlin on Friday to pay tribute to the policeman who died as a result of an alleged Islamist attack in Mannheim on 31 May.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier took part in a minute's silence in Mannheim in which between 1,500 and 2,000 people paid tribute to the victim.
