Fitou farmers cope with drought by replacing vines with aloe vera and other aromatic herbs

Fitou (France), Apr 27 (EFE/EPA) - Although in other regions the autumn and winter rainfall has been a relief, an intense drought is hitting southeastern France - as well as Catalonia, on the other side of the Pyrenees - and, after two years without rain, the countryside has begun to change its vines for aloe vera, rosemary and other aromatic plants.
