Exceptional regime helps Bukele "catapult" to re-election in El Salvador

San Salvador, Jan 11 (EFE).- The emergency regime, a controversial measure implemented in El Salvador to combat gangs and which suspends some constitutional guarantees, is a political project that "has served Bukele to catapult himself to re-election," said Samuel Ramirez, representative of relatives of detainees, in an interview with EFE.
