Dozens of monkeys enjoy traditional Monkey Banquet in Lopburi

Lopburi (Thailand), Nov 24 (EFE/EPA) - Dozens of monkeys today enjoyed a feast of food during the traditional annual Monkey Banquet festival at the ancient temple of Phra Prang Sam Yod in Thailand's Lopburi province.

The banquet, organized since 1989 by Lopburi businessman Yongyuth Kitwatananusont, is held on the last Sunday in November to honor long-tailed macaques for attracting tourists to the city and promoting tourism.
