Comic Barcelona opens with focus on Asian pop culture
BARCELONA, Spain, May 15 (EFE).— The 44th edition of Comic Barcelona opened on Friday with a strong focus on Asian pop culture at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona.The event features participants from Hong Kong and South Korea, alongside K-pop competitions, webtoon activities and appearances by international artists including Shintaro Kago, Ken Niimura and Milo Manara.The convention also includes exhibitions dedicated to Carlos Giménez, Paco Roca and The Lord of the Rings, while organizers expect large crowds despite the move to a new pavilion.
