Belgian art collective “Captain Boomer” installs recreation of a beached whale at COP29

Baku (Azerbaijan), Nov 11 (EFE/EPA) - The Belgian art collective “Captain Boomer” installed a recreation of a beached whale in the surroundings of the venue where the COP29 of the United Nations Climate Change Conference is being held in Baku.

Several environmental and social organizations are calling for greater climate ambition from the representatives of almost 200 countries that from Monday and for two weeks are meeting in Baku at the twenty-ninth United Nations Climate Summit (COP29).

The environmentalist organization Greenpeace has asked the participants in COP29 to allocate “ambitious financing” to repair the climate crisis suffered by African countries.
