Bangladesh students protest over deadly measles outbreak
DHAKA, May 13 (EFE/EPA).— Members of the Bangladesh Students’ Union and the Socialist Students’ Front held a protest rally at Dhaka University on Wednesday demanding action over the country’s measles outbreak.Demonstrators called for justice for children who died from the disease and urged authorities to declare a state of emergency over the health situation in Bangladesh.According to the Directorate General of Health Services, around 58,500 confirmed and suspected measles cases and 424 related deaths have been reported nationwide.
