Alicante fire affects at least 580 hectares of land

Tárbena (Alicante), Apr 15 (EFE) - The mayor of Tárbena, Francisco Javier Molines, is confident that the forest fire declared this Sunday, which has affected 580 hectares so far, can be controlled in the next few hours due, among other reasons, to the fact that the wind has died down.

Speaking to journalists, the mayor explained that the weather conditions have improved and the flames have advanced more slowly in recent hours, which has been joined by the deployment of about a dozen aerial resources, in addition to the dozens of firefighters and forestry brigades operating on the ground.
