Algeciras, first port of call in Spain for new largest container ship in world

Algeciras (Cádiz, Spain), June 5 (EFE).- (Camera: Andrés Carrasco) The APM container terminal in the port of Algeciras (Cádiz) receives this Monday, for the first time in Spain, the call of the new largest container ship in the world, the MSC Loreto, capable of accommodating up to 24,346 Teus (unit of measurement equivalent to 38.5 cubic meters).

A little over a month ago, this “megaship” left the shipyards in China, where it was built almost at the same time as its twin, the “MSC Irina”.
