Crime in Germany fell by 5.6% in 2025

Berlin, Apr 20 (EFE/EPA).- In 2025, approximately 5.5 million criminal offenses were reported in Germany, representing a 5.6 percent decrease compared to 2024, according to a report presented on Monday by Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and the head of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), Holger Münch.

The number of suspects also fell by 5.9 percent to 2.05 million, while violent crimes dropped by 2.3 percent for the first time since 2021.
