Lviv, May 10 (EFE).- Cutting-edge reproductive technologies and a quiet determination are helping Ukrainian women become mothers after losing their husbands in the war.

"She has the same mischievous sparkle in her eyes as her father," Irina Farion, 40, tells EFE with a smile, as she looks at her six-month-old daughter Oleksandra. The girl was born nearly three years after her father, Oleksandr Alimov, died in combat.
