SPAIN - FACE TRANSPLANT
SEVILLA, 04/05/2010.- Rafael, the first face transplant patient in Andalusia, poses during the press conference held after he being discharged from the Virgen del Rocio hospital in Seville, southern Spain, 04 May 2010. The surgery was carried out by over 100 doctors in January 2010 and lasted 30 hours. Dr. Gomez Cia stated the surgery was "a success" and was the only solution for the Neurofibromatosis type 1 Rafael suffered. EFE/Eduardo Abad
