Remains of military architecture from the 17th century emerge in a fort in Panama

An archaeologist shows a bullet found during excavations at Fort San Lorenzo, today, in Sherman, Colón, Panama, 13 January 2023. A bastion from the third construction phase of Fort San Lorenzo, a World Heritage Site since 1980 located on the Caribbean coast of Panama, was found by a group of Panamanian researchers, being "one of the few military architecture of the century XVII that would remain" in this Central American country, the project leader told EFE.
