Fifty years ago, on January 30th 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of the Reich by the Reich's President Hindenburg

With this appointment, Hitler became head of a coalition government in which the National Socialist held three of twelve ministerial posts. Hugenberg and von Papen believed to have ''framed effectively the Nazis by this constellation of power, and to eliminate them for the future. But this proved to be a fallacy, because Hitler enforced new elections contrary to the coalitions talks. As head of the government, he could use now the National Socialist propaganda campaign without let o hindrance. KEYSTONE WEST GERMANY 2/651/91110/wm/ur+ 803/5+1
