Madrid, 1-1-1935.- En 1853 se produjo su última remodelación, la que le dio a la Plaza Mayor de Madrid el aspecto actual de plaza cerrada con 8 entradas a lo largo de su perímetro, y el encargado de llevarla a cabo fue Juan de Villanueva. En el centro de la plaza se encuentra la estatua ecuestre de Felipe III, obra de Juan de Bolonia y Pietro Tacca. EFESPAIN GENERAL VIEW. Madrid, 1-1-1935.- In 1853 took place the last refurbishment, the one that gave the Plaza Mayor it’s actual semblance of closed Square with 8 entries around it’s perimeter, and the one who took care of the refurbishment was Juan de Villanueva.
