Egypt unveils restored tombs of Amenhotep and his son Samut in Luxor's El-Khokha Necropolis

Luxor (Egypt), 14/05/2026.- A visitor takes a picture inside the recently restored ancient Samut tomb in the El-Khokha necropolis on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor, Egypt, 14 May 2026. Egyptian authorities announced the completion of restoration works on two 18th Dynasty tombs, those of Amenhotep and his son Samut, dating to the reigns of Pharaohs Thutmose III and Thutmose IV.
