QUITO (ECUADOR), 07/01/2020.- El prefecto de la provincia ecuatoriana de Azuay, Yaku Pérez (c), muestra este martes el pedido de consulta contra la minería metálica junto a algunos alcaldes de dicha región, frente a la sede de la Corte Constitucional en Quito (Ecuador). El prefecto de la provincia ecuatoriana de Azuay, Yaku Pérez, presentó este martes nuevamente ante la Corte Constitucional un pedido de consulta popular en busca de la prohibición de la minería metálica en su jurisdicción. En septiembre de 2019, la Corte Constitucional negó el pedido por "errores de forma" y ahora Pérez se mostró convencido que "más temprano que tarde" irán a consulta popular.
