QUITO (ECUADOR), 07/01/2020.- El prefecto de la provincia ecuatoriana de Azuay, Yaku Pérez (c), marcha este martes hacia la Corte Constitucional junto a algunos alcaldes de dicha región, por las calles de Quito (Ecuador). El prefecto de la provincia ecuatoriana de Azuay, Yaku Pérez, presentó este martes nuevamente ante la Corte Constitucional un pedido de consulta popular en busca de la prohibición de la minería metálica en su jurisdicción. En septiembre de 2019, la Corte Constitucional negó el pedido por "errores de forma" y ahora Pérez se mostró convencido que "más temprano que tarde" irán a consulta popular.
